Off-Trade Database

To complement our flagship product Drinks Places, we have introduced the definitive database of all Off-Trade outlets in the UK.

Features

Currently, data can be broken down by ownership, type and geography, and it can be ranked by turnover.

The standard package includes:

• Name of outlet
• Full postal address
• Postcode
• Owner
• Type
• TV region

Additionally

• Turnover ranking by 5 categories

The types are:

• Supermarket, eg Asda
• Specialist Off-Licence, eg Thresher
• Independents
• Convenience Stores, eg Spar
• High Street Shops, eg Marks & Spencer
• Other, eg rural Post Offices

Ownership includes:

• All the supermarket chains
• Every specialist Off-Licence chain
• Convenience store chains
• High street retailers

Updating

The initial research was carried out using Licensing Magistrates records and by other publicly and commercially available data sources. The database will be refreshed regularly by secondary research from a variety of sources, telephone research, field work and subscribers using the Drinks Places support principle.

Production Schedule

Frequency of publishing has yet to be decided.

Format

MS Access as standard. Other formats available as required e.g. Excel.
