Drinks Places covers all On-Licence Tied and Free outlets, providing information on Pubs, Clubs, Hotels and Restaurants. There are two editions of Drinks Places available:

The database is refreshed on a continuous basis. We also collect other information too broad to be detailed here.

Outlet Trading Styles

Drinks Places breaks down into broad segments but in total we have 45 different outlet trading styles.

• Town centre - Pubs, Bars and Clubs 16% (22,000)
  Outlet in a town/city centre location on a "circuit" e.g. O'Neills, Wetherspoons, Yates's Wines Lodge

• Food led Pubs 7% (10,000)
  An outlet with a recognised retail brand, with a food as the primary focus. e.g. Beefeater, Harvester, Brewers Fayre also the sale of food pubs where the sale of food is significant to overall sales.

• Local/Community 57% (40,000)
  Pubs that serve predominately their local residential community.

• Licensed Accomodation 11% (15,000)
  A mxture of businesses whose focus is an overnight stay or short breaks or holidays.

• Licensed Restaurants 15% (21,000)
  Restaurants with a license to sell alcoholic beverages with meals.

• Sports, social and members clubs 23% (32,000)
  Clubs that are licensed and operated for the benefit primarily of its membership.

Updating

Drinks Places is updated continuously by input from subscribing companies, field, telephone and desk research.

Format

Access Database as standard, with client-defined queries or reports to aid analysis. Other formats are available as required, e.g. Excel, DB4, etc. Available for all outlets at GB level, and for a range of other defined groups, e.g. Postal Areas, Independent Pubs, TV Regions.

Availability

Drinks Places is available on a contract basis. List broking arrangements are also available.
