Steinlager Pure sails into the UK
Steinlager Pure is making its first entry into the Southern hemisphere and the UK is its destination. Steinlager Pure is a brand extension to Steinlager Classic, which is New Zealand’s biggest selling export beer.
Steinlager Pure, as its name suggests, basis its particular appeal on an absence of additives and preservatives. Steinlager has emphasised this pure combination of barley, hops and water with an advertising campaign, featuring Oscar-nominated Willem Dafoe. The advert associated the beer with New Zealand’s nuclear free policy, which has existed for more than 20 years. The tag line of the advert features Willem Dafoe, sampling Steinlager Pure and than declaring that “some things are worth protecting”. Steinlager Pure, which is served in a distinctive bottle format, will mainly be targetted at London venues. In the southern hemisphere it is available in Australia, Fiji and Hawaii.
