Pilsner Urquell pulls in the golf fans
Pilsner Urquell is encouraging punters to both buy a round and play a round, with its new ’19th Hole’ golf promotion.
The SABMiller brand’s promotion will include a chance to win tickets to the Open Championship itself. The ‘19th hole' will also include a mock-up golf clubhouse, golf simulators and putting greens. The promotion will take place in London venues around Parsons Green and Liverpool Street. The point-of-sale materials will also include a putting green, bar runners, beer mats, quizzes and sampling opportunities. The events tee-off on 30th and 31st May. The promotion ties in with SABMiller signing Pilsner Urquell up for a five year deal with official golf body R&A. The Open Championship will take place this year between 16th and 19th of July and will return for the fourth time to the seaside location of Turnberry, Ayrshire. The venue is famous for the 1977 Duel in the Sun between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus.
